Features of our incinerators and the engineering involved

Highest Quality

Our incinerators are certified to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, and we strive to achieve the highest quality products and services. We specialize in engineering simplicity and optimum reliability of all parts, ensuring minimum downtime and easy maintenance.

Ceramic Filtration

Due to the increasing concern about emissions and the impact people have on the environment, we have designed incinerator plants to help improve the environment we live in. Our filtration systems are designed to EU and USA standards of absolute lowest emissions and achieve the removal of 98% of particle matter.

Lowest Emissions

We achieve industry-leading low emissions by controlling the rate of combustion in a three-chamber process and by capturing particulate matter in a settling chamber.  CO: Carbon Monoxide is reduced by controlling the rate of combustion and ensuring complete combustion. This is achieved using a 2-chamber process with temperatures between 850°C and 1,100°C, high turbulence, and long retention times.

Waste to Energy

Today companies and governments are moving more towards using waste-to-energy plants to recover waste heat from the process, to generate hot water, steam, and electricity. Waste to energy is now being used in many resorts and hotel complexes worldwide as companies look at new ways to conserve energy and contribute to protecting the environment.

PLC Controls & Remote Access

Our PLC panels provide full automation, leaving zero room for operator error. A large HMI screen displays the status of all components. Remote monitoring enables troubleshooting assistance by Saubatech technicians.

Refractory & Insulation

Each Incinerator is manufactured using dual layers of Refractory and Insulation Castable, forming a single monolithic structure of extreme strength and durability, with a service temperature of up to 1,500°C, Cold Crushing Strength of 110Mpa, and an expected lifetime of over 15 years. Heat loss is extremely low, with a thermal conductivity of only 0.2 W/mK, ensuring high energy efficiency.

Auto Feeders

Models from a V100 upwards can be fitted with an auto-feeder, which underfeeds waste into the Incinerator. This greatly increases the safety of the operator, and prevents over feeding or underutilization of the Incinerator, as feeding is completely automated. A beneficial side-effect is higher efficiency and fuel savings.

Pre-Heated Combustion Air

The system is designed to recover heat from waste gasses, increasing fuel efficiency and ensuring complete combustion due to more stable high temperatures, with decreased fuel usage resulting in a faster ROI.

Biomass Fuel Burning Units

In remote areas with no access to electricity or diesel for generators, we can supply units adapted for burning biomass fuel.

The Saubatech Safe Waste mobile incinerator offers an ideal solution for remote locations where waste needs to be disposed of on-site. In areas with unreliable or no power, it can be powered by a portable generator.

The Safe Waste Turbo 2000VS is our most popular portable incinerator unit. Weighing only 85kgs, this compact mobile unit offers unbeatable performance when it comes to size and economy.

The unit only needs standard 220V or 110V power to operate. It has the capacity to incinerate a wide variety of waste materials at a rate of 20 kg to 40kg’s per hour, making it vastly more cost-effective than larger conventional units.

The Safe Waste unit is also environmentally friendly, being virtually smoke and emission-free.

The Safe Waste unit is suitable for applications in industry and the rural medical sector. It is ideal for disposing of soft medical waste as well as a wide variety of industrial and office waste in a cost-effective, environmentally friendly manner. The unit requires no additional fuel for complete incineration.

Our pre-installed containerised incinerator is the optimal solution for remote areas or where there is no existing building.

It is shipping legal and extremely easy and cost effective to transport.

Each incinerator is completely pre-installed in a 20ft GP container, including electrical wiring, components, lights, and extractor fans, with only power to be connected and the chimney erected, and minimal civil work required.

Safety is paramount, with the following features included: Fuel supply conforming to BS EN746-2, diesel run-off below burners, and industrial extractor fans. Fuel is supplied from an externally mounted fuel tank which is quickly erected, to ensure safe operating conditions.

Safety features also include a fire valve, a normally closed valve, fire insulation, diesel run-off, and an industrial extraction fan.

In areas with unreliable or no power, units are available with generators also pre-installed as an additional option or Biomass Incinerators can be used where no diesel or gas is available.

Saubatech´s Sanfire sanitary incinerators provide clean, hygienic, and safe disposal of sanitary towels and small medical dressings.

A Sanfire unit is adequate for up to 40 users and can be connected to a single or common flue system. Opening the charging door automatically switches on the heating element for a pre-set incineration time.

The ash residue is simply removed from the lockable drawer.

The robustly-build Sanfire is made of heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant sheet steel and has a stainless steel incineration chamber. For long life and trouble-free use, it incorporates a special sheathed wire element and is easily wall-mounted with integral keyhole-slotted lugs.

Saubatech’s system for gold recovery has revolutionized the way gold is recovered from fine activated carbon and is used by major mining houses and specialist recovery firms.

The system has had global success, with units operating in South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana, Mali, and the USA, as well as projects underway in Asia.

During the gold mining elution process, activated carbon too fine for re-use is removed.

Gold mining firms have started placing more emphasis on recovering gold from these carbon fines and wood chips due to increased pressure on gold mining firms to increase their recovery yield.

These fine carbon residues contain on average 50-200 grams of gold per ton.

In the past, these carbon fines were discarded or processed in rudimentary furnaces losing most of the gold in flue gas emissions. Or they had to be recovered in chemical plants that could not achieve industrial scale and had high operating costs. Woodchips used during the process were similarly discarded.

Saubatech offers a reliable and cost-effective method for recovering up to 93-95% of gold from carbon residue. The system uses a thermal process that burns off the carbon and captures the gold residue in the resultant fly ash, using highly efficient ceramic filters. The entire process is fully automated to increase the productivity of the plant.

Our system operates on a continuous basis, recovering 60/90 kg per hour. This translates into processing 25 to 30 tonnes of carbon per month, allowing for start-up times and maintenance.

Return on investment is usually between 8 and 12 months, depending on the gold concentration in the carbon particles, and daily operating hours. With a fast ROI, and low operating and maintenance costs, our environmentally friendly system has become the gold standard for the industry.

The MACROblaze 300W Waste Gas Burner is the perfect solution for burning wasteful gases.

It consists of a burner head mounted on a vertical column, which protrudes upwards from a pedestal. It effectively discharges large amounts of the combustible gaseous waste directly into the atmosphere, with the end of the stack containing a pilot flame, a source of steam, and an exit nozzle.

Adjustability is a key benefit of our gas incinerators. The size of the nozzle jet can be changed to suit the size of the required pilot flame. Additionally, our incinerators are designed to include the necessary heat recovery, which assists in reducing overall operating costs.

In the case that waste gases contain high quantities of acidic components, such as SOx or chlorine, heat exchangers cannot be used due to the risk of corrosion. Particulates could also potentially foul the heat exchanger surfaces. These gases would then require alternative treatment, like a gas scrubbing device, which can also supply.

Added products include the MAcroblaze flame trap or arrestor and tank vents.

WHAT MAKES THESE PRODUCTS SO UNIQUE?

  1. Flame arrestors have built-in standard automatic shut-off valves that close when a fusible plug in the outlet side reaches an unsafe temperature.
  2. Flame arrestors are designed to absorb the direct blast of an explosion.
  3. Tank vents are adaptable from simple units to combined flame arrestors with vacuum pressure relief valves.
  4. All items are of simple robust construction – easily removed for maintenance purposes.

A variety of industrial processes generate liquid waste. Leaving such liquids untreated can be both harmful to the environment and pose a safety hazard to workers’ health.

Saubatech’s liquid incinerators are a safe solution to get rid of the pollutants in waste gas.

During the process, our incinerators recover the heat in the liquid waste, enabling the supply of hot water, steam and the generation of power to the facility.

Our liquid incinerators are applicable to the following circumstances:

  • Liquid residue from a petroleum, pharmaceutical, or chemical process
  • Bad or unusable chemical mixtures or oil
  • Blow-downs and vents from a chemical process
  • Liquid waste from spills in transfer stations
  • Liquid waste from tank containments
  • Liquid waste from collection and/or drainage systems

It is crucial that incinerators are regularly serviced to ensure optimal and long-lasting functioning of the incineration plants. Spare parts should also be kept, as this minimizes breakdowns.

At Saubatech we offer biannual and annual servicing to ensure that your incinerator plant is well maintained.
